Summer is coming, and we're having strawberry season here in Australia, cheap strawberries on shelves in every shop. Although they're good, they're nothing compared to Norwegian strawberries.
The explanation would be (I guess) because the strawberries here don't need long to grow and ripen, and are thus not as tasty as northern berries that have been sitting still, sucking up the essence of summer before they're ready to harvest in July.
They say Japanese strawberries are also good, hopefully I'll get to taste that next year ;)

Yes it is true what you say about the strawberries. It is because it takes them a long time to grow and ripen + the fact that it rains a lot.
