Some of you may know that I joined a soccer team here in Sydney. We were full of optimism before the season, since the team apparently looked much, much better than last season.
We've had a rough start to the season however, with three losses and only one victory. We like to blame it on bad luck, injuries on vital players, and the fact that we haven't had a goalkeeper and have been rotating out field players with mixed success. I have even kept one half of a match :)
Things are looking up now, we're having injured players coming back, and our new choice for goal keeper looks confident. So let's hope that we can turn it around this weekend, despite playing one of the leading teams in the division.
My team is Canterbury A (ironically, Canterbury B have performed better than us).
