There's a lot of packing to do. This includes selling/giving away all the stuff that we have bought - which isn't easy, it's not like everyone is all that interested in used things - or so it seems. We're even selling our computers dirt cheap, but nobody's signalled any interest in them yet. The only things we've sold so far: my guitar and our pots and pans. Still need to the computers, our freezer, and some other things... Let's hope someone finds out that they need it!
There's also a lot of throwing out old stuff going on. There is no need in bringing 'old' clothes etc. that won't be used anyway, and thus we're throwing them out. Or, actually, we're giving them to a charity that gives used clothes to those in need. It's really not fun to throw away all the stuff, but there is no way we can bring it all, so it's a necessity - unfortunately.
We'll be shipping some stuff that we want to keep to Japan, but it's not particularly cheap to send boxes of things to Japan, so we'll have to limit ourselves. Anyway, packing is terrible. We've been doing it so many times over the last couple of years, and it's just a pain. Hopefully it will be a looooong time until the next time (if ever...) we're packing up our stuff like this.
Just out of nowhere, here's two photos of the view from the rooftop of our building, one looking towards the city centre, the other looking towards the University Campus:
